Martin Galea – Director – Licensed Conveyancer
Tick Box Conveyancing Director Martin Galea brings over 30 years of conveyancing and property law experience to the firm.
Having founded several conveyancing firms in various locations across Melbourne, Martin acts in a consultancy role for Tick Box Conveyancing.
Martin has established himself as the conveyancer of choice for a number of Melbourne real estate agencies over many years, while his professional and thorough conveyancing methodology also makes him a favourite amongst many reputable property and financial service related professionals.
His conveyancing journey started in 1984 when he began working as a legal clerk in a sole practice law firm in Ascot Vale.
From there, Martin would start his first conveyancing practice, MG Conveyancing in 1986.
Martin eventually sold the practice, taking up a valuable opportunity to work with Swersky & Velos Lawyers, a reputable law firm in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.
As the firm’s senior conveyancer, Martin oversaw the development and exponential growth of the firm’s property arm.
Martin spent eight years in the firm, where he made a number of key legal connections.
In 2006, Martin founded his second conveyancing practice in Flemington.
During this time, Martin was at the forefront of a number of exciting changes in the conveyancing industry.
He served as the Vice President of the Australian Institute of Conveyancing Victoria branch, sat on the advisory committee which played a vital role in the development of the Conveyancing diploma run by RMIT and was the first and – to date – only ever appointed Statutory Manager by Consumer Affairs Victoria.
Martin has also served as a key consultant to PEXA and sat on the State Revenue Office consultative council, representing Victorian conveyancers.
Martin’s in-depth knowledge and experience will greatly benefit Tick Box’s growing conveyancing team and services.
Martin is a full member of the Australian Institute of Conveyancers (Vic), an accredited Certified Practicing Conveyancer, holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Conveyancing) from RMIT and is also a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (Vic) which qualifies him to witness Statutory Declarations and affidavits.
Tom Le – In-house Legal Counsel
Tom Le is Tick Box Conveyancing’s In-house Legal Counsel.
Joining the firm in August 2020, Tom provides legal advice and guidance to Tick Box’s expert team of conveyancers.
Arriving at the firm with over 14 years of legal practice behind him, Tom has worked in various areas of law but in particular, he has vast experience in property law, commercial leasing and business conveyancing at his previous firm.
Nancy Costabile – Business Development Manager
With over 20 years of experience in suburban and city law practices, Nancy Costabile brings a wealth of experience in her role as Business Development Manager and Conveyancer at Tick Box.
Nancy’s recent experiences, working as branch manager for a well-established conveyancing practice are a particular asset to Tick Box and its growing client base.
Nancy has a long-held passion for working with off-the-plan developments.
“My passion has always been with off the plan developments. It is rewarding to be involved from the very beginning when the site is merely a piece of dirt and then to see the finished product,” she said.
“In the past most of my developer clients would take us through the property and it was fantastic to see the end result – that’s when you have a real sense of pride for the job and all the hard work and hours put in to it.”
When she isn’t sealing her latest deal or helping her client’s get through their latest conveyance, Nancy can be found in her local Pilates class or keeping up with her young family and friends.
Lynn Fraser – Senior Conveyancer
Lynn Fraser is a Senior Conveyancer with Tick Box Conveyancing, working from our Geelong office.
Lynn brings over 25 years of experience to Tick Box, having worked in a range of large and boutique law firms, ensuring she can help clients with a wide range of property transactions.
With noted experience in assisting clients with high-rise and broadacre developments, Lynn brings strong technical expertise and a broad scope of conveyancing knowledge to assist Tick Box Conveyancing’s residential, commercial and industrial clients.
Lynn also has experience assisting clients with Self Managed Super Fund (SMSF) transactions.
Lynn enjoys all areas of conveyancing and has particularly enjoyed the leaps and bounds made forward with technology in the conveyancing space, which she says helps to provide her clients the best customer experience possible.
Outside of conveyancing, Lynn loves 4WD driving, travel and eating out.
Kathy Gamble – Senior Conveyancer – Fellow Institute of Legal Executives (Vic) F.Inst.L.Ex
Kathy Gamble is a senior conveyancer with years of experience in the legal field. She has worked with various firms and brings her expertise to Tick Box Conveyancing.
Kathy is highly respected within the legal community and is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (Vic).
She is passionate about her work and always puts the needs of her clients first.
Miki Jenkins – Licensed Conveyancer
Miki Jenkins a Licensed Conveyancer with over five years of experience within conveyancing practices.
Miki is passionate about helping first-time buyers through the conveyancing process.
She prides herself on her ability to provide clear and concise communication to her clients to ensure that they understand everything that is happening in relation to their matter and can be relied upon to provide consistent updates to her clients.

Sylvia Attard – Licensed Conveyancer
Bringing 25 years of industry experience, Sylvia Attard arrived at Tick Box Conveyancing in early 2018.
Sylvia has worked at a number of conveyancing firms and her experience has been warmly received by the rest of the Tick Box team and all of our clients.
With a Diploma Financial Services (Conveyancing) behind her, Sylvia passion for conveyancing comes through in every file she works on.
“I love all aspects of the conveyancing,” Sylvia said.
“Whether it be the normal sale and purchases, or off the plan developments, I love that no two conveyancing transactions are the same.
“I enjoy the challenge that conveyancing provides.”
Sylvia relishes the challenge of keeping up with the ever-changing environment, be it legislative or technological, and always strives to deliver the best outcomes for her clients.
Outside of conveyancing, Sylvia is a keen reader and a passionate family woman.
Mary Giang – Senior Conveyancer
Mary Giang has over 13 years of conveyancing experience in law firms and brings an in-depth understanding of off-the-plan contracts to the Tick Box Conveyancing team.
With seven years spent at Thomson Geer Lawyers and another six at Maddocks Lawyers, Mary brings a wealth of experience to the firm.
Her experience leads her well to assisting developers and greatly complements Tick Box Conveyancing’s existing expertise in this space.
“Given my background, I enjoy working with developers and vendors,” she said.
“I love sharing in the excitement with clients of selling their property or purchasing a new home and I like to help clients by making their selling/buying process as simple and as non-intimidating as possible.”
“I enjoy being involved from start to finish of a file.”
Outside of work, Mary enjoys raising and spending time with her young family, a spot of light reading and eating out.
John Le – Senior Conveyancer
John Le arrived at Tick Box Conveyancing with over six years of experience as a legal professional.
Equipped with a law degree, John has worked as a solicitor in the areas of Family Law, Property as well as Conveyancing and brings well-rounded experience to the firm.
John joined Tick Box because of his passion for property and his willingness to specialise within the field.
Since arriving, he has found Tick Box’s aptitude for the latest technology-based solutions a refreshing approach, providing greater means for transparency and communication with his clients.
Away from work, he loves travelling (when time allows) and can often be found hiking or plotting his next adventure.
Mia Salvador – Operations Manager
Mia Salvador brings 4 years of diverse experience in office administration and management to her role as Operations Manager at Tick Box Conveyancing. Currently pursuing a Certificate IV in Human Resource Management, Mia is passionate about continual learning and skill development, which enables her to excel at the wide variety of responsibilities her position entails.
Mia deeply appreciates the friendly, collaborative environment at Tick Box Conveyancing, where team members are always eager to support one another. When she’s not ensuring smooth operations at the office, Mia enjoys staying active, exploring new places, dining out, and spending quality time with friends, family, and her two beloved golden retrievers.
Josie Forcone – Trust & Office Accounting – Conveyancer Support
Josie Forcone is a Conveyancing Support Specialist with over 35 years of experience working in large, well-established law firms and conveyancing companies.
She’s been with Tick Box Conveyancing for over four years and plays a crucial role in supporting our Licensed and Senior Conveyancers.
With a great eye for detail, she assists with the trust and office accounting and is a valuable member of the Tick Box Conveyancing team.
Outside of work, Josie enjoys a weekend escape to the beach, cooking and likes a ride on her Vespa.
Anne Spehar – Account Manager
Anne brings a wealth of experience to her role as Account Manager at Tick Box Conveyancing’s Dromana office. With a career in the legal and conveyancing industry spanning over four decades, Anne’s journey began in 1981 as a Mortgage Clerk for a large CBD firm. She then moved to a suburban law firm, where she dedicated more than 25 years as a conveyancer, honing her skills and expertise.
Anne is often the first point of contact for clients, and her extensive background in conveyancing allows her to efficiently gather the necessary information to pass along to our Conveyancing Team. She takes great pleasure in client interaction and finds fulfillment in leveraging her experience to provide exceptional service from the very first call.
The supportive and collaborative environment at Tick Box Conveyancing is what Anne cherishes most. She appreciates the strong work ethic demonstrated by every team member and the genuine camaraderie that shines through, especially during challenging days when a funny meme from a colleague can make all the difference. The stunning view of the Bay and Dromana Pier from the office is an added bonus that Anne enjoys.
Outside of work, Anne finds joy in the simple things in life. She loves spending time at home, tending to her garden, and embarking on impromptu road trips with her husband, often sparked by a casual invitation for coffee that leads to exploring charming destinations like Ballarat, Bendigo, or Echuca.
Carissa Galea – Receptionist
Carissa Galea is one of Tick Box Conveyancing’s part-time receptionists.
Working out of the Moonee Ponds office, Carissa is currently completing her university studies.
In her role as Receptionist, Carissa provides a friendly voice at the other end of the phone helping our clients and referrers find the right person within our office to assist with their calls.
