Tick Box Conveyancing has added a sixth Licensed Conveyancer to its ranks, following Michelle Halford’s successful completion of her Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing.
Michelle, who is based in and works from our Mornington office, has been studying part-time for the last two-and-a-half years to achieve the diploma and become a Licensed Conveyancer.
Having had to balance her work with Tick Box Conveyancing, her family and the weekly travel requirements to attend the face-to-face course classes at RMIT’s Melbourne CBD campus, Michelle said it was a moment of pride to see the email confirming her status as a Licensed Conveyancer arrive.
“It felt amazing when I saw it come through,” she said.
“The time and travel factor between having to travel to and from Mornington to Melbourne every week, to finish the assigned work and work for Tick Box and keep up with the family life was a massive challenge in itself.
“My other half, Mark, was a major support in helping with the kids and school pick-ups and that sort of thing, while Martin [Galea, Tick Box Director] was a massive help in accommodating my study with my work schedule.”

Michelle said she was grateful to the whole Tick Box team for their support during her studies.
“I think the first six months of the course I was still working in real estate before I got the job at Tick Box,” she said
“Working at Tick Box helped me to understand what I was learning, but it was also good to be working in conveyancing while I was studying because you get to see the differences between the theory and the practical work.
“I’ve worked in Real Estate for years, but it’s pleasing to be able to be in a role where I am now licensed.”

Tick Box Conveyancing director Martin Galea said it was with immense pride that he learned of Michelle’s successful completion of the course and licensing as a conveyancer.
“Michelle should be immensely proud of her achievements,” he said.
“To be able to commit to the course and see it through despite the obvious challenges of the demanding and busy role with Tick Box Conveyancing, as well as having to balance her family life in a home with six kids is a testament to Michelle’s incredible work ethic and commitment to being the best conveyancer she can be.
“They are attributes which make her an absolute pleasure to work with and an asset to our team.”
